Perfect solution for hot lunches at work
I use this Crock-Pot hot lunch box almost every workday and it has been flawless. My routine is simple: I freeze homemade soup in Souper Cubes, bring the frozen cubes to work, drop them straight into the Crock-Pot lunch warmer, plug it in, and a few hours later I have perfectly heated soup. No microwave. No rubbery texture. No hassle.It heats evenly, doesn’t scorch, and keeps food at a great temperature without drying it out. It’s quiet, doesn’t smell up the office, and is easy to clean. The size is just right for a filling lunch, and the lid seals well so I don’t worry about spills during my commute.If you meal prep, especially soups or stews, this thing is a game changer. Simple, reliable, and actually does what it promises. I’d buy it again without hesitation. In fact, I now have one for home as well.

Update: I love this thing so much I’m ordering a second to take with me since this first one lives at work! You can definitely forgo whatever metal this container is (they say it’s stainless but it’s a weird matte metal which FEELS like aluminum, but what do I know)– I just use sealable oven safe glass 1- or 2-cup containers to transport soups and other food. The provided container does work to transport liquid, but it still terrifies me, so this option relieves me of worrying about it incessantly. That said, it’s perfect for a roll on the bottom, then the 1c lipped glass above it.Everyone is right about the thread/lid/seal- simply when heating, unscrew the lid and just prop the outer lid back on if you feel so compelled. There really is no odor issue, to the point that I think it’s not heating since I cannot ever detect any odors.I like my food REALLY hot, so I give it at least 1.5- 2h. And I don’t bother stirring anything. Maybe I’ll flip if I cram a roll or flat item in there. Makes a perfect bread/roll warmer too.Also it IS annoying that you have to unplug it, but I’m considering plugging it into a strip with an on/off switch.This second one I ordered will be the ‘blush’ model. I had no peeling/melting issues w the black, but it seems that the pink and other colors are terrible with the color chipping/peeling/washing off. (But why are you washing the exterior?)For these reasons and cost I’m not giving it 5 stars, but I do love this thing and it has made my general life better by providing me effortless hot food working on a freezing winter day/night. I’d give it a solid 4.25. Plus I bought this with gift cards and credit rewards points.First review:I’m REALLY impressed with this little thing! Something happened to the shipping on the first, so this was the replacement. I ordered it to my work, then had frozen my Thanksgiving dinner into the container (busy cooking all day, so was too stressed to eat it when it was all ready!), so today I brought it frozen, back to work. After about 5h transit back, I placed it into the exterior pot and plugged it in-it was still pretty frozen. When I returned to it hrs later (5-8p), it was perfect! (I had a little CP dipper which I loved and wanted to use for this purpose, but that didn’t have a removable container.)I think this would have been ready much sooner, and now that I know this, I will check sooner!The only thing which bothers me is that I’m not sure what kind of plastic this is (PTFE? PFOA? BPA-free? Though the food doesn’t touch it, it would be nice to not have to be concerned about fumes which would kill pet birds immediately.)It would also be nice if there were an on/off button, but I’m not complaining!The size is, frankly, huge for the amount of food I would eat in one sitting, especially at work (20 oz?!???)– I think I ate about 6, maybe 10 on a hungry/busy day. But great for soups, I imagine. I’m going to try out something of that sort and update.The pot itself is much smaller than I expected, which is great since it’s pretty inconspicuous. I’m not sure why there’s a handle, since I’m not planning to carry it around like that.

Perfect Portable Size Crockpot
This mini crockpot is so handy. I use it store my work lunch and it works great. It keeps the food warm for about an hour and if I need to re-heat I simply plug it in at my desk before I go to lunch and I’ll have a steamy hot meal in a few minutes. A great portable/travel size crockpot that servers many purposes.

Perfect for work lunches on location

My last crockpot food warmer has been serving me for nine or ten years. Had to buy a new one as the old one started leaking through the screw at the bottom and the lid did not close up for a while already. First thing – it is really good food warmer, in my opinion, particularly if you like soups. It is compact so you can fit it easily to a lunchbox. It heats the soup within two hours so trouble free lunch at work guaranteed.Two little things did not impressed me very much. My old crockpot – they should sell the lid part as spare part as this broke first, after couple of years of use. My new crockpot – they sent me a crockpot with US plug – I am based in UK. Not extremely difficult to fix but inconvenient. All in all – good product. Recommend it.
