This WoodWick Fireside candle is exactly what I was hoping for. The scent is warm and cozy, like a real fireplace burning on a cold evening. It’s not too sweet or overpowering, which I really appreciate. It makes the room feel comfortable and relaxing without giving me a headache.The wooden wick is my favorite part. It actually crackles while it burns, and the sound is surprisingly calming. It really does feel like having a small fire going, especially at night. The candle burns evenly, and the scent throw is strong enough to fill a living room without being overwhelming.I also like the size and look of the jar. The 9.7 oz hourglass glass looks nice on a table or shelf, and it makes a great gift for both men and women. I’ve already used it during the holidays, but I can see myself burning this all winter long.If you’re looking for a quality fireside candle, a relaxing wooden wick candle, or a holiday candle gift that actually smells good, this one is a solid choice. I would definitely buy it again and try other WoodWick scents.

Burn time is much longer than my standard tall yankee 2 wick. Smells great and love the crackling “especially if you get a few going simultaneously”. I have no idea how to trim them or if its even necessary like standard 1/4″ wicks so I don’t bother to avoid destroying the cross wick. I also use a little torch “if necessary” and common sense to prevent wax tunneling on the perimeter. Excellent candle overall

Purchased this candle on Prime Day. One of my favorite scents is Yankee’s Pink Sands. It’s great for the summer, but it is a sweet scent. I wanted something very different to change it up. The description for this candle (Fireside) says: bergamot, amber, exotic woods, and musk. Like others who’ve left reviews, I STRUGGLE to try to describe the smell. It is definitely NOT anything sweet, but it IS a DEEP, warm, luscious, cozy, homey smell. Not sure it SMELLS anything like a fire, but perhaps it’s the musk that gives that “feeling”. It would be a PERFECT companion to a fireplace going, or to a gas or electric log “fake” fireplace. Since it was burning in the kitchen and I’d been in the family room, the scent wafted to me in a very nice way, but I was unaware of any crackling that may have been going on. I don’t care about crackling. To me, the presentation and most importantly, the scent is all important. It burned quite evenly for several hours and the wax is even upon cooling. It doesn’t appear as if much was used. I am so impressed and loving this scent, I purchased 2 more at the Prime Day price. When summer ends, it’ll be the PERFECT fall/winter candle, however, personally, it’s so lovely, it could be used year round. WONDERFUL, elevated, rich, homey scent!

Order arrived in one piece, was worried about the shape it would be in, other reviews had the glass broken but this was pristine. The humidor scent is outstanding, as in the description a little cigar along with some leather and a mild spice smell. Per instructions I lit it and did a long burn around four hours. The crackling fire sounds from the wick can lull you to sleep along with the smell of it. After four hours it looks like it might have burned down maybe a quarter inch. This will last a long time at that ra.overall a great product.

After buying this candle in Humidor and loving the scent, tght I’d try this as “fireplace” is one of my fave winter scents to burn, this one did not disappoint!! It has a sweetness that blends well with the smoke scent. Fills the room nicely . I always burn for 3-4 hours to avoid pooling and uneven burn. At this price point it’s definitely worth the buy, the Woodwick website charges $35 USD, and they don’t ship to Canada! Highly recommend (but Humidor is definitely my favorite scent)UPDATE: After burning this candle every night, I noticed a layer of melted wax all over my counter, the flickering of the wick must cause the wax to spit up&out, not sure if this wld ever be a fire hazard but the fact I have wax all over the counter, I wld not repurchase or recommend

I love woodwick candles. I have a black cherry one which I love lighting and listening to the crackle, but what I really wanted was something that would smell like a proper wood fire too. They have several “fire” fragrances, bonfire, fireside, etc, but based on other reviews I thought I’d try this one. Definitely smokey! Success!
