My bf got a facial in Sac & they used this on him & he loved it!! I bought it for him & he has def used it a lot. It’s Alittle pricey but worth it!

Application & wear is great. Perfect for under makeup but expensive & lack of info on product page
Looking at the other products from this brand, it seems they have 3 types of this “SPF Solar Shield 30” sunscreen. They have this one, which is “Oil Free,” they have a “hydrating” one, and they have a “tinted” one. Normally, I’d probably go for a hydrating one over a matte one. But, I was specifically looking for one to wear under makeup. A lot of physical (mineral) sunscreens can feel kind of oily/greasy and take a while to absorb, so I thought a hydrating one might make that worse. They both have 21% zinc oxide as the active ingredient. When I compared the ingredients of the 2, I noticed the major difference was the “Hydrating” one had a lot of hydrating ingredients in it (of course) that the “Oil Free” one did not like panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, sodium PCA, aloe, Ulmus Fulva Bark Extract, and beta glucan. This “Oil Free” one has A LOT of silicones in it. The “Hydrating” one only had 1 (at least that I saw with a quick scan of ingredients). They both have a lot of good ingredients in each. So, it’s just more about which one works for your skin. So, I just wanted to make it aware there are 3 different versions.This comes in an outer product box. It is made in the USA. It is cruelty free (leaping bunny certified). It has SPF 30 and contains 21% zinc oxide as the active ingredient.This glides onto the skin easily, which I expected given all the silicones in it. It feels lightweight on the skin, not heavy at all like a lot of sunscreens can. It doesn’t have a white cast at all. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin silky smooth with a mostly matte look – it’s not a dry matte kind of look, but it’s matte where it’s not shiny or greasy looking/feeling. It works GREAT under makeup. It acts as a really great primer, I’m guessing because of all the silicones in it. I’ve been able to use this as my sunscreen and primer. My makeup applies smoothly, looks great, and lasts well. I really like this a lot!As much as I like this, it’s pretty darn expensive in my opinion. I do feel sun protection is worth spending money on, but there’s so many affordable options out there that I have to seriously consider whether I’d spend the money on this one. You only get 2 oz. If you’re using this on your face and neck, using the amount of sunscreen you’re supposed to use – 1/2 teaspoon for face and neck – you’re going to go through this pretty quick. For reference, 2 oz is 12 teaspoons. So that’s 24 days you’d get out of this if you’re only using it once a day, but you should be reapplying sunscreen every few hours if you’re outside. So, that makes it go even quicker! But even if you just used it once a day and got 24 days out of it, that’s not much for something costing $48.40. This does contain skincare type ingredients, which do make a difference for me when considering price of something. This has a lot of antioxidants in it, skin brightening ingredients, and soothing ingredients. But, I can get those things from my skin care regimen. So, it’s not something that makes a huge difference.Overall, I really like this for under makeup. If I saw it on sale for a good price, I’d definitely buy it. But, at it’s current price, I wouldn’t. I have other sunscreens that I can use under my makeup that cost much less. I also didn’t like the limited info on the product page. I don’t rate based on price since we all have different views on affordable/expensive, different needs, etc. So, I won’t knock off stars for that. But, will say I think it’s overpriced when they can’t even be bothered to give any product info. Application and wear is great, that alone is 5 stars. But overall considering everything, it’s more like 3 stars.The product page for this is kind of ridiculous….You’re asking people to spend $48.40 (such a random price 😂 not $48.50, but $48.40 don’t know why it made me laugh but it did 😂) but are giving them hardly any information. I’ve seen product pages like this before with hardly any information, it’s always annoying but it’s even more annoying when it’s a product they want you to pay $48.40 for 2 oz of product. They need to do better on the product page! Luckily, there’s reviews now so hopefully people will get the info they need to decide there. But, they shouldn’t have to scour reviews to find the info they want. Reviews should be so they can see what people felt about their product, not what the company claims it can do. There’s no full ingredient list, no explanation of claims (though you only see the claims in product photo), just no info!Application & Wear of Sunscreen = 5⭐️Overall (lack of full ingredient list, lack of info) = 3⭐️

Really is oil free
This sunscreen is pretty awesome. It is very very dry (almost too dry?) It takes a little bit to rub it in due to the dryness and there is a teeny amount of chalkiness. It does a decent job at protecting from the sun. There is NO residue, stickiness or smell. It is great for anyone who hates sunscreen, for anyone who has oily skin or who wants to use sunscreen under their makeup
