This clock runs on 1 AA battery. Battery cover is easy to be taken off and battery is easy to be replaced.

I needed and wanted something for my bedroom that wasn’t my phone to tell the time. It’s just the right size for a bedside table and is super cute. Has an alarm function but I haven’t tried that since I use my phone. Love the quality and that it has a low light if you want to check the time at night. Great value!

Is quiet, but not silent
This clock does not tick, but it has a bit of a grinding noise. If I lived in the city and not off grid in the quiet forest, I would not notice it. If there was traffic or any other noise, I would not hear it. I will put it in the kitchen and keep looking for a truly silent clock that does not use electricity. Maybe there is no such thing. I love how it looks, and the size is perfect.

As a bedside clock being silent is the key to a good purchase. I have added a short video so you can hear the ‘train like’ noice it makes. I was able to get a full refund so that part was excellent.
