The One to Buy!
If you are only able to buy one of Fashionary’s fabulous guides, trust me, THIS is the one! We already have a fashion brand, but this guide showed us everything we could have done better (and still can!), and everything we did right. The marketing section is EXCEPTIONAL. You’ll find awesome stuff here like subject line suggestions for marketing emails, best times of day to post to various social media, etc. There’s also pros and cons of all different ways to sell, display ideas, and even how to fold garments! If you’re just starting out, the advice here is priceless: figuring out *your* Unique Selling Point (USP… what makes YOUR STUFF different and desirable?), the SWOT analysis of your brand, and soooo much more! Can you think of three words to describe your brand? This guide will show you how. Last but not least, the book format is SO approachable. I actually kinda chuckled at the ‘visual approach’… Initially I considered it to be a “lazy man’s” way of reading a book, but I was so wrong! The combo of visuals with text means this book is easy to read… And guess what? You’ll *retain* all the great stuff you’ll glean from this volume. So don’t hesitate! And if you know someone interested in fashion, this book is BEAUTIFUL, lovely presentation, and would make a fabulous gift. A+!

Unbelievably Good – A book with outstanding information
I was skeptical that the reviewers could all be so positive, but yeah, this book is the real deal. I actually came on Amazon to see if there were more manuals from this publisher, because I’ll buy everything they publish. I’m using this book for both my brand new fashion company, and also for my current personal care and home fragrance company, which we’ve been running for 9 years. There’s something for everyone.Yes, it’s not comprehensive in every aspect of business. But it literally couldn’t be. It’s the exact amount of depth so I can actually head off and do more research with at least a “knowing what to google” idea of what I need to know.If you’re considering starting a fashion business, this is a must-have. It’s informative and very high quality.

So much valuable info in such a small book
Before I read this book I was clueless about starting a clothing brand. Now I feel very confident. It covers aspects of the fashion industry that I didn’t know much about. For example, under the product development section they explain the different materials, their origin and the uses for each one of the materials. Also what is a Tech Pack, and the purpose of it. The only negative I can mention is that I had to wait a couple of weeks to get it. But the book was well worth the wait.

Beautifully produced and very clear step by step guide. Not in-depth but for most people it’s a great way of getting a good overall idea of what’s involved in setting up your business. It’s aimed at Fashion Business but there’s a lot in there for many different kinds of businesses. I would have liked to have seen a little more on the branding side as there’s more to creating a brand than is covered here. But, as an introduction, it’s fine. Couple it with The Brand Gap (Marty Neumeier) or Logo Design Love (David Airey) for more on the brand building side and you’re ready to go.

All the pages are filled with illustrations that make it easier to follow and to understand. I highly recommend for those who enjoy fashion, and wishes to learn more about the industry. It’s perfect for beginners AND professionals. It came in perfect condition and took approximately 2 weeks or less!
